Ingredients for making Peixada Cearense:

 1 kg of grouper, crab, snapper or whiting

 3 cups of fish broth

 3 units of boiled egg (optional)

 3 slices of white cabbage

 3 pieces of sliced ​​English potatoes

 3 units of sliced ​​ripe tomatoes

 2 large sliced ​​onion units

 2 pieces of thickly sliced ​​carrots

 1 unit of red pepper in slices or strips

 1 unit of green pepper in slices or strips

 1 unit of minced sweet pepper

 1 unit of lemon (juice)

 1 bottle of coconut milk (small bottle)

 300 grams of peeled shrimp (optional)

 ¼ cup of olive oil

 cilantro and chives

 white black pepper

 salt

How to make Peixada Cearense:

The first step of this homemade fish recipe is to wash the fish, cut it into pieces and season it with lemon juice, salt and white pepper and scent. Cover and set aside for 30 minutes to taste.

Tip: Prefer to use fresh fish, it will make all the difference in the flavor of this recipe.

Meanwhile, bring a large saucepan with oil over medium heat and, when hot, sauté the onions for 1-2 minutes, or until tender. Add the peppers, tomatoes, cilantro and chives, and saute for another 2-3 minutes.

Arrange the fish slices over the stew, add the carrots and cabbage, and sprinkle everything with the fish stock and coconut milk. Adjust the salt and pepper and cook for 20 minutes, or until the fish is tender and firm.

After the indicated time, at this point you can add shrimp and eggs to the fish stew. Cook for another 5 minutes and turn off the heat.
